Abstract:
Objective: To attempt endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guided biliary rendezvous and accumulate clinical experience.
Methods: An 84-year old woman suffered from obstructive jaundice caused by the compression of the lower part of the common bile duct by pancreas head cancer, and the conventional endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) failed, so EUS guided biliary rendezvous was performed.
Results: The operation was successful, and there were no complications such as bleeding and perforation during operation, and the symptoms of bile duct obstruction were significantly relieved.
Conclusions: Endoscopic ultrasound guided biliary rendezvous is a good choice for patients after ERCP has failed.
