Abstract:
Takayasu arteritis-related hypertension is common but easily overlooked. This disease often leads to serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications, and is one of the main causes of death. In order to comprehensively improve the early identification, standardized diagnosis and treatment, and long-term management of hypertension in patients with Takayasu arteritis in China, the revision of the “Chinese multidisciplinary recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of Takayasu arteritis-related hypertension (TARH)” (2021) was initiated by Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, in collaboration with the Rheumatology Branch of Chinese Women’s Medical Association, Rheumatism Committee of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, and Rheumatology Branch of Shanghai Medical Association. This proposal mainly introduces the purpose, target audience, development methods, working group members and responsibilities, proposal and collection of clinical issues, evidence retrieval and screening, formation of recommended opinions, as well as the process and methods of consensus formation, external review, publication, dissemination and implementation.
