Abstract:
Objective To study the effct of early rehabilitation exersice on function in patients after liver transplantation in the Liver Intensive Care Unit (LICU).
Methods Forty-three patients after liver transplantation in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University from March 2017 to January 2018 were selected and divided into the two groups. Patients in the control group underwent exercise for 7 d, and patients in the experiment group underwent exercise for 14 d. The rehabilitation exersice included lower limb muscle strength and balance training. The effects were evaluated by using manual muscle test (MMT), Berg, and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) berfore exersice, and 7 d and 14 d after exersice in the control and experiment groups, respectively.
Results The overall improvement of muscle strength, balance, and anxious were better in the experiment group than that in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusions Early continuous rehabilitation exersice could improve the muscle strength, balance, and anxious in patients after liver transplantation in LICU.
