Abstract:
Pancreatic cancer is one of the malignant tumors with poor prognosis. Most of the patients are in advanced stage when they are diagnosed, and their survival time is very short. For patients with advanced pancreatic cancer, the effect of chemotherapy is not ideal. How to make chemotherapeutic drugs reach the tumor site more quickly and efficiently is a hot topic in research. With the development of nanotechnology, nanomaterials have been widely used in various fields, including medicine. Animal experiments using nanomaterials, including carbon nanotubes, as drug carriers for anticancer therapy have been reported, showing good preliminary efficacy. Therefore, this article make a review and prospect on the new progress of carbon nanotubes as liposomes drug carriers in the field of pancreatic cancer treatment.
