Abstract:
Objective:To observe the clinical effects of pharyngeal paraesthesia treated by psychological intervention combined with Chinese traditional medicine. Methods:Using Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) to evaluate the depression and anxiety status of 100 patients with pharyngeal paraesthesia. Then the patients were randomly divided into two groups. The TCM treatment group applied with traditional Chinese medicine decoction as modified Banxia Houpu decoction and auricular point sticking method. The combined treatment group applied with psychological intervention combined with traditional Chinese medicine decoction as modified Banxia Houpu decoction and auricular point sticking method. Four weeks was a course of treatment. After the third course, the clinical effect was evaluated in each patient by using HAMD and HAMA. Results:The clinical effects of combined treatment group were better than that of TCM treatment group (P<0.05). Conclusions:There is a good result for pharyngeal paraesthesia treatment by using psychological intervention combined with traditional Chinese medicine decoction and auricular point sticking method.
