The effect of QR code scanning combined with on-site explanation on the inhalation of drugs for patients with obstructive pulmonary disease

Objective：To investigate the effect of QR code scanning combined with on-site explanation on the inhalation of drugs for patients with obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods：The patients were randomly divided into three groups including on-site explanation, QR code scanning, and QR code scanning combined with on-site explanation groups. Patients’ master degree of the inhalation of drugs was evaluated and scored 1 and 2 months after the intervention, their satisfaction and the acute attack of the disease were followed up at the 6th month. Results：The master degrees of the inhalation of drugs were similar between the on-site explanation and QR code scanning groups, while the master degree of the QR code scanning combined with on-site explanation group was superior than those in the on-site explanation and QR code scanning groups (P<0.05). Conclusions：QR code scanning combined with on-site explanation is useful for patients with obstructive ventilatory dysfunction in learning of the inhalation of drugs.
