Research progress on the relationship between exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells and tumor

  • Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can produce a large number of exosomes. Many studies have found that MSCs-derived exosomes play a role in regulating tumor proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, tumor stem cell activity, tumor invasion and metastasis, and tumor immunity. Evidence showed that MSCs-derived exosomes inhibit tumor cell proliferation and increase tumor cell sensitivity to chemotherapy. This article reviews the role of exosomes secreted by MSCs in tumorigenesis and tumor treatment.
