Effect of adipose-derived stem cells in chronic wound healing: research progress

  • Chronic wound is a major challenge in plastic surgery and the whole medical field. The way to promote wound healing is a matter to be solved urgently. Adiposederived stem cells (ADSCs), compared to other mesenchymal stem cells, have the advantages of convenient material, adequate source and poise sculpture, and have become a hotspot in the field of regenerative medicine in recent years. A large number of studies have shown that ADSCs can promote chronic wound healing through a variety of mechanisms and are considered to be a promising treatment strategy. In this paper, the isolation and purification, the mechanism and application of ADSCs in chronic wounds were reviewed.
