Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of modified Borsellino surgery on concealed penis. Methods 74 adolescents with concealed penis including 21 webbed penis patients from January 2017 to October 2021 were enrolled. All patients underwent modified Borsellino surgery with a scrotal V-incision. All patients were followed up 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery. The operative time, postoperative penis lengthening, postoperative complications and surgical satisfaction were analysed. Results The patients was (11.1±3.0) years old, with body mass index (BMI) was (23.0±4.5) kg/m2. The operative time was (82.9±16.7) min. The postoperative penis lengthening was (2.97±0.21) cm. The extension lengthening of patients with webbed penis was (3.05±0.18) cm, which was higher than that of patients without webbed penis ([2.93±0.21] cm, P<0.05). The complications included prepuce oedema (3 cases,4.0%), prepuce scars (4 cases, 5.4%), incision infection (2 cases, 2.7%), hematoma (1 case, 1.4%). 40 (54.1%), 27 (36.5%), 5 (6.8%), and 2 (2.7%) patients or there parents were very satisfied, satisfied, generally satisfied, and dissatisfied to the surgery, respectively. Conclusion This modified Borsellino surgery achieved satisfactory results for concealed penis, especially for the patients with webbed penis.
