Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of domestic coronary hydroelectric shockwave balloon catheter in managing severe calcified lesions. Methods From December 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, 3 patients with severe coronary calcification lesions in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University were collected. Sonico-CX coronary hydroelectric shockwave balloon catheter was used to pretreat the calcified lesions. The balloon catheter was filled and expanded at 4 atm (1 atm=101.325 kPa) with 10 pulses, and then it was expanded at 8 atm for 10 seconds with 2-4 times were repeated at the same calcified site. Results Domestic coronary hydroelectric shockwave balloon catheter could effectively dilate severe coronary calcification sites, which was helpful for subsequent stent implantation, and no surgical complication was found during the perioperative period. Conclusion The domestic coronary hydroelectric shockwave balloon catheter is simple to operate and it could effectively dilate severe coronary calcification, which can be used as a treatment option for severe coronary calcified lesions. |
