Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility, safety and therapeutic efficacy of CT-guided percutaneous puncture catheter drainage (CT-PCD) in intra-abdominal fluid collection and infection after pancreatic associated surgery. Methods The patients with intra-abdominal fluid collection and infection after pancreatic surgery and treated with CT-PCD were retrospectively included. The effect of CT-PCD on these patients was analyzed. Results All patients developed intra-abdominal fluid collection and infection after surgery. And a total of 10 times of CT-PCD were successfully performed and 13 drainage tubes were placed. The bacteria culture-positive rate of drainage fluid was 100%. And the amylase level was elevated in 92.3% (12/13) of the drainage fluids. All patients were cured by CT-PCD combined with antibiotic therapy. Conclusion CT-PCD is a safe, more accurate, and less traumatic method for patients with intra-abdominal fluid collection and infection after pancreatic surgery.
