Abstract:PET/CT or PET/MRI examination flow are characterized by many steps, complex process, and the patients need to stay a long time in a relatively closed environment after injection of radioactive tracers. There is a high risk of cross infection between medical staff and patients, and between patients and patients. During the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) prevention and control period, we recommend that patients underwent PET/CT or PET/MRI examination should be evaluated the potential risks of developing the NCP according to their epidemiological history and clinical symptoms. Therefore, it is necessary to take appropriate protective measures for the staff who will be in close contact with patients with suspected novel coronavirus infection, and reasonably sterilize the places where patients with potential infection risks are in contact, so as to reduce the risk of cross infection. |
