Abstract:Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) can lead to heart failure or even death in diabetic patients, which is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus. The early manifestations of DCM include abnormal energy metabolism, myocardial steatosis, abnormal microcirculation perfusion, etc. And might gradually develop into myocardial cell remodeling, cardiac dysfunction, and myocardial fibrosis. The pathogenesis of DCM has not been fully elucidated. The diagnostic criteria are unclear. At present, we can indirectly detect the possible pathological changes of cardiomyocytes with the help of imaging examinations, therefore to make a diagnosis, intervene in time, monitor the development of the disease, reverse or delay the condition, and improve the prognosis. In this paper, the imaging detection methods in different stages of DCM are reviewed. |
