Abstract:The cultivation of scientific research ability of undergraduates is an important part of the cultivation of innovative talents in colleges. Different from the graduate cultivation, the training process has special inherent law. As to validating cultivation of innovative talents, colleges and universities should pay attention to not only scientific research output but also the sustainable development of the talents , that is, whether or not they established the innovative thinking habits and thinking ways, whether or not they really set the strong interest to the scientific research work and required the sense of of responsibility. We must respect the law of competency development and scientific research to establish the sustainable development, which could help to cultivate scientist who really want to devote himself to scientific research , design to engage in research work in his all life and has the actual talent to make a practical contribution to the development of science and technology.
