Abstract: Objective: Indentify the level of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin detected D 25- (OH) D in postmenopausal women and relationship with coronary heart disease. Methods: We use cross-sectional study to take samples from health examination center, applying electrochemi-luminescence methods to test 25- (OH) D in 200 cases of postmenopausal women. Coronary heart disease (CHD) incidence, its risk factors and level of 25-(OH)D were analyzed by statistical method. Results: Serum 25-(OH)D levels of women after menopause was 23.3 ± 8.8ng/ml. 71% of population was defined as deficiency, 18% insufficiency and 11% desirable range. The incidence of CHD among the three groups, was 28.9%, 11.1% and 4.5% respectively. The difference was statistically significant. Serum 25-(OH) D levels expression were significant differents in varying degrees of high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein and body mass index. Conclusion: Postmenopausal women have significantly lower serum 25 -(OH) D levels, the degree of deficiency correlates with CHD incidence.
