Application effect of professional practice integrated ideological and political education teaching mode in clinical teaching of nursing undergraduates

Abstract:Purpose To explore the influence of professional practice with ideological and political education on the patriotic emotion, social responsibility, operation skills and theoretical knowledge of nursing undergraduates. Methods Nursing undergraduates who entered the clinical practice of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University were divided into intervention group (30 cases) and control group (33 cases), a total of 63 cases from July 2020 to April 2021. Both groups received routine clinical teaching courses, and the intervention group received ideological and political education once a week, 1 hour and 30 minutes each time for two months. The researcher used College Students" patriotic emotion evaluation scale, social responsibility scale and operation skill score to evaluate the application effects of the two groups before and after the intervention. Results There was no significant difference in general information, sense of social responsibility and patriotism between the two groups before intervention. After the intervention, the scores of social responsibility, patriotism, theory and operation skills in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The integration of professional practice and ideological and political education is conducive to improve the sense of social responsibility, patriotic emotion, theoretical level and operation level of nursing undergraduates.
