Abstract:To explore the current research situation of health literacy of the elderly in China and the progress of intervention model by literature review. Through the analysis of the literature, it is found that the health literacy level of the elderly in China is significantly lower than the general level of the health literacy of the Chinese residents. The main influencing factors are education level, economic level, region, gender, occupation, marital status and minority nationalities. The intervention methods adopted to improve the health literacy of the elderly at home and abroad are basically the same. Individualized health education intervention methods for patients have become a trend. Western countries generally promote electronic intervention methods, that is, the use of network and other online new information media. However, the current health education methods in China are still relatively traditional, mainly peer education and on-site lectures, and the network intervention of health literacy is still in its infancy. Considering the usage rate of electronic products for the elderly in China, the comprehensive use of online and offline health literacy intervention model is worthy of further exploration by health education and health promotion experts in China.
